Detroiters who drive unamerican cars, a rant.

On Friday, as I was driving home from work, I was surrounded by foreign cars. SURROUNDED! Literally, surrounded by foreign in traffic.

Do people in Michigan, Metro-Detroit more specifically, not realize that every foregin car purchased hurts our economy? And I mean literally hurt the entire economic system in Metro-Detroit?

For Example: When the big 3 do poorly, they shut down plants. So if the Big 3 collectively shut down 5 plants in metro detroit, and each plant employees about 30,000 people, that is 150,000 people out of the 3 million in Metro-Detroit who are out of work.

Then, because the building is shut down the floor people, door people, window people, lawn people etc. all lose out on work; serious work!

The the OEM's can't supply them, so they are out of serious work.

Then it's the smaller things people don't think about . . . like the paper company who sold them their computer paper - the computer companies who sold them their computers, frito lay and coca cola (both have plants here) aren't selling food at lunch to these 150,000 people anymore are they? And don't forget the pen companies, the toilet paper companies, the staple companies, and the company (office depot etc) where they purchased all of this. All because we wanted a Honda, a VW, or a Toyota .

How many people do you see driving classic foreign cars? My point exactly!
